Dear Friend,
Welcome to the month of June!
The gift of a new day is a great privilege, and I believe you are grateful to God for bringing you into a new month.
As you step into June, I want to encourage you with a word from Scripture.
1 In the first year of King Cyrus of Persia,[a] the LORD fulfilled the prophecy he had given through Jeremiah. He stirred the heart of Cyrus to put this proclamation in writing and to send it throughout his kingdom:
2 “This is what King Cyrus of Persia says: “The LORD, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth. He has appointed me to build him a Temple at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
3 Any of you who are his people may go to Jerusalem in Judah to rebuild this Temple of the LORD, the God of Israel, who lives in Jerusalem. And may your God be with you!
4 Wherever this Jewish remnant is found, let their neighbors contribute toward their expenses by giving them silver and gold, supplies for the journey, and livestock, as well as a voluntary offering for the Temple of God in Jerusalem.”
Ezra 1:1-4
In Ezra 1, the Bible records that Cyrus the Great made a remarkable decision: he allowed the Israelites who were willing to return to Jerusalem to do so. Not only did he permit them to go back and rebuild their homeland, but he also gave them gifts and instructed his citizens to supply them with whatever they needed—an event reminiscent of when the Israelites left Egypt.
Cyrus was an unbeliever who did not serve God, yet he woke up one day and made a decision that aligned with God’s purpose for His people.
What lessons can you draw from this as you go through June?
1. God has you in mind, even when all hope seems lost.
No matter how dark or painful your current situation may be, God has not forgotten you. He has engraved your name on the palm of His hand, and He will never leave nor forsake you.
2. He can use anyone to bring healing, freedom, and deliverance to you.
God is no respecter of persons. When the time is right, He will use anyone and anything to bring His will to pass in your life.
3. God gives double for every loss.
His plan of restoration always involves abundance. Be prepared for an outpouring—what you lost, He will return in multiple folds.
4. Do not look down on anyone.
God’s plans are perfect, and the person you least expect might be the key to your breakthrough.
5. Never underestimate yourself!
God has a purpose for your life, and no amount of darkness can extinguish His light in you.
As you journey through June, stay expectant—and always remember: God can use anyone to proclaim your deliverance.
Happy New Month!
Yours in His Vineyard,
Adelekan Bolanle
